SETUP We started with a two car garage, one light in the ceiling and two outlets. We finished with a workshop to be proud of!! Here's a before shot (actually "during" the renovation) As you can see its a mess! ![]() We needed some shelf space for some of our wood tools...so Mark built a cool shelf to go above the compressor space.
We acquired a 60 gallon compressor from a friend from work. He was building an airplane and was 90% the way complete (hence the large compressor), but when he moved to Fort Worth, he decided that racing sailboats was more fun...... Then Mark installed a 240V plug for the compressor and install a new electrical panel. ...This is proving to be more work than he thought! He got a little ancy today wanting to get this prep stuff done so he can start working on the airplane! Well,....the ceiling paid the price... ![]() Of course, we also needed space for those long RV-10 spars and skins and ....all those long parts... ![]() Then to install all the lights...6 in all. Four on one switch and the two under the garage door under another switch. In all this building of an airplane, we still want to be energy concious! ![]() Of course, being in North Texas, the cool winters and hot summers warrents a heating a cooling system, both. I've been wanting to install some insulation on the garage door... and on the garage ceiling for that matter. Aww...pretty in pink it will be!! ![]() Now for all those tools. This project is a GREAT excuse for getting all those nice to have tools that we just haven't acquired yet..... |
