On the advice of our tech counselor during his visit 2 weeks ago we picked up a swivel flush rivet set.  He took a look at our bucked rivets and said they looked good but he could tell we were using a standard flush set due to the shallow indentation in the skin around each rivet.  He said that a swivel set could actually produce a nice flat look like back riveting... so we decided to give it a try.  The verdict... I can honestly say its true!  Here you can see the standard flush set we've been using (left) and the new swivel set (right).  The swivel set allows the rivet gun to be slightly off perpendicular while still keeping the set flush on the surface.  It also has a rubber guard that helps to keep the set from wandering.  I think this guard also provides a bit of a damping affect against the skin keeping the blows on the skin from denting it resulting in a nice flatly set rivet.  As good as it does though, it won't make up for sloppy riveting... I had the set slightly off perpendicular and it started to wander.  Had it been the standard set I may be talking about a nice ding in the skin next to my rivet... so it does allow you to limit the damage.  So far we LIKE it!  Good call!

(10-20 step 2):  Using the new swivel set I finished the stiffeners back in the rear of the tailcone.  I was very impressed!
