Picked up Emp/TC kit from ABF. Unfortunately, it
looks like I'll be at work over the Christmas break. We're
scheduled to have a week off, and that's when we planned on putting a
good dent in the garage upgrades. We'll see... |
January 11, 2006:
Turns out I did have to work over the Christmas break... and I'm
working some O/T on the weekends also. Combine
that with the fact that the garage mods are taking longer than
expected, and the result is its a challenge to get hands on the
airplane right now. Van's requires a full inventory of the
kit
within 30-days
(after that we have to pay for anything missing) so I decided to take a
break from the garage mods to work on the inventory. Angela
is
out of town on business this week so I'm digging through the kit
without her.

12, 2006:
Finished up the inventory and got all the fasteners sorted out (well,
mostly anyway... we need another drawer bin) and put away.
Everything is now put up and out of the way so we can entertain the
idea of getting a car in here again. Just need to break that
crate down.

13, 2006:
Broke the shipping crate down and cleaned the garage up to make room
for the cars. Unfortunately we've still got quite a few
things
left to do before the actual construction starts. I guess we
could just start it, but we're deciding against that for 2
reasons: 1) Once we start, we probably won't want to take
time
away from it in order to finish all those things that have been put
off, and 2) If we start then we've got airplane parts that can be
easily damaged while things are being moved around during the garage
mods. Besides, we haven't even started on the tables yet
(ouch!) In time... in time... |
